The diversity and modernity of their designs reflect in-vogue lifestyles, which is why aluminum doors are widely used. However, producing and processing quality aluminum doors requires several strict requirements to ensure accuracy at each stage.
Aluminum door extrusion and fabrication process
Aluminum bar extrusion process

Importing ingredients
Hondalex aluminum factory imports 100% billet aluminum alloy for the aluminum extrusion process.
First, Ingot pure aluminum billet, with a purity of 99-100%, is used in the metallurgy process. This pure aluminum is not hard enough and cannot be applied directly to architectural works.
Depending on the applications, other metals such as silicon, magnesium, manganese, copper and tin are added to aluminum to create aluminum alloys commonly used to extrude aluminum profiles such as 6005, 6061 and 6063, etc.
After the metallurgy process, the pure aluminum billet is transformed into aluminum alloy, and then cast into circular rods (billets). This aluminum alloy is manufactured according to international standards to meet the requirements of various industries, to ensure product quality
Prepare Billet, extrude
The process of casting long Billets into short ones is also carefully prepared so that each Billet cut out is the same size. The aluminum bar shaping mold (designed according to customer requirements), is steamed at 420 to 450 degrees Celsius before entering the press. Meanwhile, each Billet lump is steamed from about 430 to 510 degrees Celsius before being pressed through a mold to form a long aluminum bar. This process is called extrusion.
Cool
After being extruded, the aluminum bar will be cooled through a steam cooling system to reduce the temperature before being packaged and shipped. Next, the aluminum will be tempered to create hardness for the raw aluminum. The raw aluminum will be surface-treated vertically via an automated process.
Aluminum door fabrication process

After being extruded and cooled, aluminum will be sold to the market, then surface treated or machined to form different products. The following is the aluminum door manufacturing process at the current fabricating factories.
Design
Based on customer requirements, installation technical standards and production methods at factories, technical drawings will be presented and put into production. This is an important stage to ensure that the door will meet its intended use and be suitable for specific spaces.
Prepare materials
After the design is complete, aluminum materials will be prepared. In addition, aluminum profiles and related hardwares such as locks, hinges, and glass will also be ready for assembly.
Cutting and fabricating raw materials
Aluminum profiles will be cut to the desired size and shape. After that, machining steps such as bending or hole cutting will be performed.
Assemble
The cut aluminum parts and other accessories will be assembled into the finished product. This process includes using techniques or fixing hardwares using bolts and screws.
Quality inspection
After assembly, aluminum doors will be quality-checked to ensure that all technical elements meet the standards. Inspection criteria may include dimensional accuracy, durability, operability of the door opening mechanism, and aesthetics.
Completion and installation
After quality inspection, the door will be shipped and installed at the customer’s location
Most popular aluminum door nowadays

Sliding door
Sliding doors are opened by sliding the panels along tracks or tracks installed above and below the door. Door operates on rollers and tracks being economical for homes with small spaces and is often used for doors leading to balconies, gardens or swimming pools
Bifold
Bifold doors open by folding one or more flaps together. They are used for houses with large spaces such as villas and villas and are often used for doors leading to the garden.
Swing door
A swing door is a type of door that can open in many different directions. They are widely used in urban and rural architecture today. They are used for doors leading to gardens or balconies in narrow spaces.
Loval’s most-demanded doors

Hondalex – Long Van aluminum doors are categorically designed with a variety of structures and tightly synchronized hardwares, ensuring a comfortable living space and assuring privacy for the homeowner.
Aluminum door systems such as LV50, LV56, LV60 are strong and elegant, well suited for small, cozy spaces. LV70, LV120, LV150 are sturdy and luxurious for large areas, widely used in villas, resorts and civil architectural works domestically and internationally.
